Weather radios produced by Oregon Scientific Inc. are being recalled due to failure to receive National Weather Service alerts. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday announced the voluntary recall of about 66,000 of four models of Tualatin-based Oregon Scientific weather radios. Click here for more.

Greenhouse gases likely accounted for more than half of the widespread warmth across the continental United States last year, according to a new study by four scientists at NOAA’s Earth System Research Lab in Boulder, Colo.
